A huge congrats to Express alum Ryan DeSanto (Penn State) in being drafted by the Cleveland Guardians with their 12th round selection!

 

DeSanto was electric for Strasburg in 2023, striking out 20 batters in 9 innings while walking only 3 and allowing only 2 earned runs. Transferring to Penn State for the '25 season he was equally as spectacular. Ryan went 8-2 with a 3.97 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. He struck out 72 batters in 72 innings while allowing only 52 hits, holding batters to a .202 batting average against. For his efforts he was named to the All Region (East) 2nd Team by the ABCA / Rawlings.
